Some Good, Some Bad

Well, I had the right idea when I decided to make a green monster this morning. If I only new I was going to ruin it by adding the amazing grass. Into the blender went: 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup frozen cherries, almond butter, 1/2 scoop of amazing grass (pomegranate, peach, mango), handful of spinach, splash of [...]

Couscous Pilaf

Quick recipe share: Couscous and kidney bean pilaf. The recipe is just as it looks. I added fire roasted red peppers, onions, celery and parsley. It was a dandy. I think couscous might not be so great as far as carbs go though….?

Good Morning.

I accidentally overslept this morning. I hate that. It always feels so much better when I wake up naturally, preferably before 7:00. Oh well, it is my day off, so I should just be glad for that. I peeled a grapefruit and made some juice. Juice this morning was: beet and greens, 1/3 cucumber, 1 [...]

A Day of Thanks!

Today is a day of Giving Thanks. It is easy to lose sight of the things that matter most or take for granted the very matter that makes our lives wonderful.  I have a tendency to dwell on the negative and complain too much.  Sometimes when I am trying to “vent” about these random things [...]

A Day of Rest

I was so lucky to get sick on my visit to Reno.  I managed to hobble through the week with H1N1 the worst cold/flu I think I’ve had yet.  I actually slept 12 hours last night.  When I woke up I knew it was time to reunite with my juicer.     Yumm-mooo! It’s good [...]

The Sun Is Out

The gray days, dark at 4:30 and rain have been dragging on me. I do like the rain, don’t get me wrong. Wet, muddy shoes in the house make me grumpy. Wet pine needles in the house; even grumpier. Is it just me, or do you feel like its bedtime at 7:00, cause its been [...]
